Greediness: A look at Tarker Golozo's Song on Major Peter Atsuku.

Greediness: A look at Tarker Golozo's Song on Major Peter Atsuku.
By Henry Kwaghkule

Late Dr Augustine Tarker Golozo was a celebrated folksinger and a town crier in Tiv land. His songs are spiritual, entertaining, educative, informative and also full of wise words.
Golozo was a fervent prayer warrior who will always pray for the success and promotion of his clientele to progress in their field of human endeavours.
The case of of Major Peter Atsuku was evident in constant prayers.
Golozo started praying and promoting Perter Atsuku in his songs when he was a Warrant Officer in Nigerian Army. Golozo never abandone Atsuku but rather kept praying for him to be promoted to higher ranks in the army.
God answered his constant prayers and consequently Peter Atsuku rose to the rank of 2nd lieutenant (Anini Mon) and then to Lieutenant (Anini uhar) and finally move to Captain .
Golozo never stop praying again, his fervent prayers, God answered him and Atsuku was promoted to the rank of Major.
Surprisingly, Peter Atsuku never remembered to give Golozo letter through his wife Kwaghyor Anula Natu, daughter from Mbagyundu, Kendel or Mbamar area of Shangev-Tiev in Konshisha Local government area for the celebration of the rank of Major whom he got through his unconditional prayers.
Even people that Golozo never done much to them like Atsuku were inviting him for one feast or dinner. He mentioned people like Captain Gbande,  and Lieutenant Kunda Tyonde from Mbaiase Gwer east local government was eager to send letters to him but were waiting for their Senior colleague Major Peter Atsuku to invite Golozo before they will invite him.
A close observation from the song, Golozo concluded that Atsuku's wife daughter of Anula Natu is grinding him silently without giving a fair hearing or remembrance as if he is a dry cassava, so he will get behind them for not remembering him to celebrate Major Atsuku whom he think can recognize him or call him for a dinner.
 SOCIELTAL MEANING OF THE SONG.
The song is a representation and presentation of the true picture of what people do to their love ones. Many people have suffered day and night to pray for some people's success and when God answers their prayers on those who will help them. Such people hate them and never remembers to improve the conditions of them
Also, this is evidence in what Nigerian politicians are doing to their true supporters who actually help them in prayers and campaigns for them to wins an election. After winning, such ardent supporters are usually abandoned by the elected ones.
Many people are neglected, humiliated and oppressed after helping their brothers and sisters to win an election.
Late Dr Augustine Tarker Golozo's on Atsuku  answers this present situation faced by most of our people in politics and their supporters.
Stinginess and greediness overshadow people's mind which make them not to remember those who help them spiritual, financial, physical and morals...

In conclusion, I wish people have the mindset to help those who help them
We should not abandon our love ones , our supporters, clients, but always live a meaningful life to them. It shouldn't  be like the case of Peter Atsuku and Tarker Golozo.
